Synopsis An anthology, consisting of contemporary stories by First Nations and Métis authors, that embodies major themes such as survival, identity, mysticism, and life's never-ending journey. Illustrations are from existing original pieces of art by Native artists.

Credits This collection of stories is a result from a Native Writer's Workshop held at Gabriel's Crossing in 1983. After first telling stories in the traditional manner of Cree storytellers, the authors worked to write them down on paper. Eight stories and one poem are presented here.
