| Synopsis
|
The Be Real Game, part of The Real Game Series, comprises a
facilitator's guide and a set of materials for 40 students, i
ncluding role play backgrounders, classified ads, job profile
s, and job change notices. This cooperative and interactive
career exploration program is delivered in groups of themed-a
ctivities or sessions which are organized in three major unit
s, needing a minimum of twenty-five hours to complete the act
ivities. Students assume life/work roles (based on 18 sector
s of the economy) and explore the budgetary and time
implications of working, including career search and job chan
ges. Each class creates a simulated "town" divided into commu
nitities.
