Synopsis Verbathon acts both as a method for teaching and as a means for students to solidify the lessons learned through application. It incorporates interactive learning by touch and it shows students that language is systematic. The educator uses a customized wallchart and a set of cards, (both part of the Verbathon Kit), together with various lesson strategies provided, to show students the rules of verb application and sentence structure. Students learn by playing and manipulating cards. The Verbathon teaching kit is versatile and can be used to play many different games to reinforce language skills. Verbathon has been shown in classroom settings to effectively capture attention and foster a strong sense of interest. RÉQUEST! is a powerful teaching tool based on a student empowered cooperative and global approach to learning. It is a quiz-type game strategy where the students form the questions and answers themselves. The students then play against the other in separate teams creating a fun atmosphere.
