Synopsis Narration, graphics, laboratory work and labelling are combined effectively to depict the electrical concepts of voltage, current and resistance. Graphs convey information while at the same time reinforcing their usefulness in the field of science. In a couple of examples, outdated technology (series circuits in Christmas lights and magnetic fields in trains) is redeployed to illustrate concepts. The vocabulary level is well-suited to grade nine students; the presentation is too simplistic for Physics 12. Use this DVD to introduce and demonstrate the electrical concepts of voltage, current, resistance, parallel and series circuits.
