Title
Fossil kit (36225)
Audience Primary, Intermediate, Junior High (PIJ)
Synopsis Kids are fascinated by fossils! Now, using this kit, they can create their own inexpensive paper casts of 12 different fossils, decorate them with markers, and then use the reference guide to determine which animal the fossil represents and learn interesting facts about it. Fossils give us a great deal of information about an animal: what it looked like, when and where it lived, when or if it became extinct, and adaptations for survival. Watch the video and discover the relationship between dinosaurs and birds and find out that rhinoceroses once lived in Nebraska. Erosion can make slow, almost invisible modifications, or sudden drastic alterations of the landscape. Either way, the forces of erosion are always at work giving the earth a facelift.
