Synopsis First Nations in Canada intertwine drumming, singing and dancing into their societies' political and social fabric. As a cultural tool, the hand drum is used for both welcoming, ceremony, and farewells and among other community events. This hand drum kit includes 10 First Nations hand drums with drum sticks and songs. Songs (with permission) are performed by Secwepemc music artists Susep Soulle, Louis Anthony, Julian Wood and Lelyn Anthony. Songs include: 1. Secwepemc Welcome song 2. Secwepemc Honour Song 3. Porcupine Song + 3 original Stick game songs (stick games are games played, such as Lahal, using sticks and bones).
